Understandably, most real estate commercial brokerage firms are struggling and finding the idea of
hiring not feasible. But think twice.
At least one commercial real estate brokerage firm namely CresaPartners is hiring. Why and how could they hire during these times? Well. They are hiring their brokers on commission who don't cost CRESA much overhead. In addition, unlike a lot of real estate brokerage firms, CRESA represents only tenants, while others represent both landlords and tenants.
In fact, with rents and occupancies falling further and further, tenants dictate the terms of lease negotiations these days. Many tenants are hiring consultants or brokers to cut costs even though they might have a few yeas left on their lease.
